Police say a stabbing in the Socastee area of Horry County Thursday is a homicide.

They were called to a home on Weeks Drive, off Socastee Boulevard, just before 11 a.m. Police say they found an adult woman deceased when they arrived.

They say a friend of the victim called police.

A neighbor says the woman only lived in the home for about six weeks.

Emergency workers removed her body about 1 p.m.

There are still no suspects.
