Jacqueline B. Moore, 31, was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of Ill Treatment of Animals after police say she left two dogs outside with no food, no shelter, and no water.

Police first responded to the home on Hatteras Drive in the Conway area on September 17th and found a terrier mix in a small cage on the back porch covered in feces. The officer also saw an emaciated pit bull lying on the porch, but it hid under the porch when it saw the officer.

The officer noticed, according to a police report, that the owners had been evicted.

The officer went to the landlord and found contact information for the owners and told them they needed to come get the dogs.

Two days later, an officer returned to the home to find the dogs in the same situation. Police got an order to remove the dogs, which were taken to the Horry County Animal Care Shelter.
