Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina is holding a Gold Star Mothers Service at the Moose Lodge on Burcale Road Sunday.

The service will start at 2 p.m. and Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes will be speaking.

Refreshments will be served following the service.

Gold Star Mothers are mothers who have a lost a child in the service.

National Gold Star Mothers Day began in 1936 by Congress.
