A Loris man is out on bond after he was arrested for exposing himself to a four-year-old girl.

Steven Neil Gause, 28, of Loris was charged with Exposure of Private Parts in a Lewd and Lascivious Manner, according to J. Reuben Long Detention Center's website.

Horry County police say Gause showed the victim his genitals in the bathroom on August 1.

According to the police report, the child told police Gause had sexually assaulted her before.

"The victim also stated that the suspect had punched her, slapped her, and put her in the dryer when she had been bad," the police report said.

Gause was taken into custody Thursday morning. He was released on $5,000 bond the same day.
