Deputies say a Robeson County man was shot when he tried to run out some men that broke into his home.

Investigators say the men fired shots at the house on Huggins Road off of Highway 211 Sunday night and hit the homeowner.

The homeowner ran outside and retreated into the woods to get away.

The burglars then threw a Molotov cocktail at the house, causing it to burst into flames.

The homeowner remains in the hospital.

There have been no arrests.
