North Myrtle Beach police arrested three people and are searching for two others who they say were involved in beating and holding a couple at gunpoint in their home.

Around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, the female victim answered the door and spoke to a woman asking to use the phone, according to police.

Before the victim could reply, three men forced their way into the couple's home, pointed handguns against the the victims' faces, demanded money, and pistol whipped the male victim twice, the police report says.

The female victim pleaded for the suspects to stop because she was fearful for her two-year-old daughter in another room inside the home, according to the report.

The victim told police her daughter slept during the entire incident.

One of the suspects entered the victims' bedroom and could be heard going through their belongings, according to the report.

The male victim gave his wallet to one of the suspects who was possibly wearing an oxygen mask, the report says.

Police say the suspects also took a Playstation 3 game console from the home.

At one point, the female victim struck one of the suspects in an attempt to take the gun and started to yell for help, according to the report.

The suspects then fled the home, the report says.

Shortly after, a public safety officer on patrol followed a vehicle matching the one that was believed to have left the home.

When the vehicle came to a stop, three male suspects jumped out and ran from the officer.

The officer remained with the two female passengers still inside the car.

While being interviewed by police, one suspect returned to the vehicle.

Two of the suspects, Yawnee Waters, 20, and Jamie Chapman, 21, were identified by the victims.

The victims told police Chapman was the woman who knocked on their door and Waters was one of the suspects who held them at gunpoint.

Along with the two suspects, Robin Alston, 28, was also arrested for being a willing participant in the crime.

Waters has been charged with Armed Robbery, Assault and Battery 1st degree, two counts of Kidnapping, Burglary 1st degree, Burglary 2nd degree, Petit Larceny under $2000, and Possession of Firearms & Ammunition.

Waters' total bail amount is $336,000.00.

Chapman and Alston have been charged with Burglary 1st degree and Petit Larceny under $2,000.

Their bail has been set for $101,000 each.

Police say the two remaining suspects are men between 20 and 25-years-old.
