Florence police say a man in a car pulled up and shot a man in the 300 block of Timmons Street Thursday evening.

Major Carlos Raines says the victim was hit in the shoulder. He's been taken to the hospital. His injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening.

Major Raines says officers are talking with witnesses. He says he will release more information Friday morning.
