The Horry County Board of Education interviewed 7 candidates for a vacant board seat Monday evening.

Board member Paul Hudson died  in July.

At the board's next meeting on Monday, September 24th, they will vote on which of the seven candidates will fill the seat.

That person will hold that seat for the next two years and will be the incumbent in that election.
