HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) - Around 5:30 a.m. Saturday EMS responded to a fatal hit and run off of Log Cabin Road, according to Horry County Coroner Robert Edge.

Edge says Cruz Chris Teah Johnson, 25, of Tabor City was walking along Log Cabin Road when he was struck by a large vehicle.

Edge says they believe Johnson was struck from behind.

The accident happened about a half mile from the North Carolina state line.

An autopsy will be performed Sunday morning.
