Closing arguments are expected to be heard Thursday afternoon in the trial of Tyrone King, 25.

Deputies say he killed James Galloway, 48, on Oriole Lane in Marlboro County last November. 

King is charged with Murder, Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime and a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Witnesses told deputies the shooting happened following an altercation between Galloway and King, who are neighbors.

An incident report shows King also assaulted another victim with a handgun inside the home.

He was arrested after a short foot chase with deputies and has been in jail since the killing.
