The South Carolina Supreme Court has ordered the Florence County Republican Party to pay legal fees of their political foes, following a lawsuit against them.

In May, attorneys for the county Democratic party sued the Republicans for certifying ineligible candidates for the June primary.

The GOP was forced to remove names from the ballot.

The Republicans have been ordered $1,200 for the Democrats' court costs.

Florence County GOP Chairman Bill Pickle says he just learned of the order Thursday afternoon. He says the matter will be taken care of.
