Some Conway business owners and city leaders were locked up Thursday to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Fatz Café hosted the MDA lock up where volunteers like Horry County Police Sgt. Robert Kegler had their mug shots taken and were tasked with collecting donations.
The money will provide local services, clinic visits and wheelchair and leg brace assistance to people in Horry County suffering with the disease.
It means a lot to those who've had to use the services.
"It's heart warming that there's so many people that come out to these events and care enough to donate their time and ask other people to donate money," said Jay Ludwig, a patient and volunteer.
Organizers say they expected to raise about $30,000 this afternoon.
