FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) - Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews says around 3 p.m. Saturday Kevin Alan Dabrowski, 24, died in a car crash on I-95.

According to Highway Patrol, the crash occurred in Florence County near mile marker 162.

Matthews says Dabrowski is a Marine stationed out of Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, N.C.

Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins says Dabrowski was traveling northbound when his Jeep ran off the road, went over the guard rail, and flipped over.

Matthews said Dabrowski died on the scene.

According to Collins, Dabrowski was wearing a seat belt.

Matthews said Dabrowski's 2-year-old son, who was properly restrained inside the Jeep, was taken to the hospital.

Matthews said the child did not suffer life threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
