Myrtle Beach police charged Amanda Rae Cantor, 22, of Murrells Inlet with Driving Under the Influence after she struck a troopers vehicle early Tuesday morning.

The Horry County Sheriff's Office says a trooper was stopped with his blue lights activated on the southbound lanes of Highway 17 Bypass between Highway 501 and 10th Avenue North about 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Deputies say the car Cantor was driving hit the troopers car. The trooper was not hurt.

It's standard for the sheriff's office to investigate trooper-involved crashes.
