Highway patrol says a moped driver died Thursday.

The Georgetown County Coroner's office identifies the man as James Moultrie, 59, of Georgetown.

Highway patrol say Moultrie pulled out of a private driveway and into the path of a Jeep traveling south on Highway 17 when the two collided about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Troopers say Moultrie failed to yield.

Highway patrol is investigating.
