Monday night, Horry County Violent Crime Detectives and U.S. Marshals arrested Alex Marshall McDaniels, 31, for a burglary last week.

Police say McDaniels shot an off-duty Conway police officer in the arm during the burglary on Good Luck Road outside of Aynor.

Horry County Fire Rescue treated the officer. His wound was not life-threatening.

Police charged McDaniels with Attempted Murder and Burglary First Degree.

He is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
