GARDEN CITY -- South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins says around 9:15 p.m., a man driving a pickup truck struck a Georgetown sheriff's deputy's patrol car as well as another car Monday night.

According to Collins, while the deputy was sitting at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Waccamaw Drive in Garden City, a man lost control of his truck while turning onto Atlantic from Waccamaw.

Police do not know why the man lost control and do not believe alcohol was involved, Collins added.

Collins said no one was injured.

Only minor damage was reported for all of the vehicles involved.
