Laurinburg police say Eddie Frank McLaurin, III, 19, turned himself in Wednesday.

He's charged with Attempted Murder, Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Going Armed to the Terror of People, Felony Conspiracy and Discharging a Firearm in the City.

Police say he shot at a man at 7:30 p.m. May 20 on Alder Road. They say the victim was in his backyard, talking with three other people, when when he was shot several times, including one shot in the head.

The victim has since recovered.
