Florence County Sheriff's Deputies arrested two men Tuesday for trying to steal a car near Timmonsville.

When deputies tried to stop the two, they say the men into a wooded area off Piney Grove Road. They were caught after a brief vehicle pursuit and foot chase.

According to deputies, Jvon Moses, 28, of Darlington was arrested and charged with two counts of Grand Larceny. Marvin Tayroon Mack, 21, of Darlington County is charged with two counts of Grand Larceny as well.

Deputies say the charges stem from Moses and Mack trying to steal the car and theft of landscaping equipment from a Piney Grove Road address.

Moses is being held at the Florence County Detention Center on an $11,000.00 surety bond and Mack is being held on a $13,500.00 surety bond.
