A 24-year-old Marion man died Friday after his car crashed.

James Kirby died about 4:30 p.m. when his pickup truck went off the left side of of Highway 9 near Baker Road.

Highway Patrol says he was the only person in the car and he was not wearing his seatbelt.

The coroner says Kirby's body will be sent for an autopsy. He says Kirby suffered from diabetes and that may have contributed to the crash.
