Alberto has been hovering off the Georgia/South Carolina coast for the past few days, but is expected to turn northeast and head out to sea later today through Wednesday.  With the storm being so tiny and far out to sea, our First Alert weather team is not expecting any impacts along the coast.

Alberto is only the third storm to form in the month of May over the past 30 years. An early season storm means nothing when it comes to how busy the coming season will be.  When storms have formed before or early in the season, there are an equal amount of active and inactive seasons.

NewsChannel 15's Chief Meteorologist, Ed Piotrowski thinks there would be little or no impacts here. For more of his analysis of the storm, visit the Tropical Update page.
