Horry County police arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting and abusing a girl.

Police charged Kevin Lennox with Criminal Sexual Conduct with a minor between 11 and 14 years old and Lewd Act.

The girl told police when she was younger, Lennox would make her take showers with him and touch her private area.

She says he beat her with a belt and threw things at her when she was angry.

Police arrested Lennox Thursday. He's being held in J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
