Darlington Police say they've arrested a man, and charged him with three counts of purse snatching and one count of forgery.

Police say Darryl Royce Williams was taken into custody shortly after he tried to snatch a purse in the Food Lion parking lot, they say he successfully snatched a purse in the Bi-Lo parking lot.

Williams was found in an apartment complex not far from where police say the crimes happened.

Williams also forged and cashed a check from a victim's account that he had obtained from a purse snatched last week, according to police.
