NewsChannel 15 received an anonymous letter detailing allegations that cheating occurred on the HSAP test at Darlington High School last month.
The HSAP stands for High School Assessment Program. It is also used to measure students' academic achievement on high school standards in accordance with the federal No Child Left Behind Act.
We asked the Darlington County School District about the allegations. They said they were aware of possible testing irregularities involving the administration of the test at Darlington High.
The South Carolina Department of Education also received an anonymous letter and asked the district launched an internal investigation.
That inquiry is ongoing.
Once the school district's investigation is complete, the findings will be sent to the SC Department of Education for their ruling.
If the State Department determines the situation warrants further attention, the Darlington County School District says they will comply.
