A Florence county man died Sunday morning in a wreck on Half Moon Road near Pamplico.

Deputy Coroner Don Reynolds says Johnathan Moreno, 24, died on impact from the wreck. Reynolds says according to witnesses, a wild turkey ran out in front of Moreno's pickup, he swerved to avoid it and ran off the road.

Reynolds adds Moreno's pick up flipped several times. A passenger in the vehicle survived and is being treated in the hospital.

The Highway Patrol is investigating.
