TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark is the new name of the home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
The ballpark opened under the name Coastal Federal Field in 1999. The name changed to BB&T Coastal Field, after BB&T acquired Coastal Federal Bank in 2008. BB&T chose not to renew the name sponsorship when the contract ran out at the end of last season.
According to a press release from the Pelicans, "TicketReturn.com, an industry leader in box office and internet ticketing services, has joined with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans to usher in a new era for the home of the Pelicans. The state-of-the-art facility, which hosts more than one hundred community events annually, will be known as "TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark," in a one-year naming rights agreement..."
TicketReturn.com has partnered with the Pelicans since 2006 by providing software for the team's ticket office and website.
The Pelican's 2012 season opener at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark is Friday night.
