RENEW!, a Francis Marion University student organization, is hosting The Worship Experience, a praise and worship event that will be held Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Chapman Auditorium in the McNair Science Building at Francis Marion University, 4822 East Palmetto Street, Florence, SC, 29506.
This free event is not only for the entire campus community, but the community at large. Students from neighboring colleges and churches have been invited to attend.
"We thank God for all He has done in our ministry, and we're going to celebrate Him and let Him know how much we truly love Him," said Freddie Ratliff, president of RENEW! "We extend our love for God to all on the campus who wish to partake of this celebration through dance and song."
RENEW! The Worship Experience will feature another gathering of praise and worship. Ministering through song is the Sounds of Renewal, an inspiring singing group of FMU students. Also ministering in song is student Amanda Graham from Drutons Fork Baptist Church, Bennettsville.
"There will be no barriers," Graham said. "There will be no focus on nationality, ethnicity or denominations." Rivers of Living Water in Florence will feature praise flags, streamers and banners and sermons in motion ministered by its dance ministry, Water Falls, as well as songs of praise by their choir, Majestic Waters.
RENEW! is a Christ-centered, FMU-sanctioned student organization that shares with students - both believers of the faith and unbelievers alike - to enhance their knowledge, understanding and application of the word of God through study, honest discussions, expressions of worship and brotherly love.
"I expect another amazing move of God," junior Lawrence Nivens said of this year's The Worship Experience. "I expect the audience to grab a hold of what God's going to do through all the ministries of dance."
