HORRY COUNTY -- Highway Patrol spokesman Sonny Collins said a driver has been charged with Reckless Driving and Leaving the Scene of an Accident in two crashes that happened just a minute apart on North Kings Highway in front of Myrtle Beach Manor in the Restaurant Row area of Horry County.

Collins said the man driving the Cadillac sideswiped a car, kept going, rear-ended the Mazda and then a tree about 10:08 a.m.

Northbound traffic was backed up for about a mile and a half for at least an hour.

Three people were taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center as trauma patients.
