(AP) -- The South Carolina House has sent a $6.5 billion state spending plan to the Senate with another unanimous vote.
The House voted 113-0 on the plan that gives state employees raises for the first time in four years, sends more money to classrooms and boosts state law enforcement.
The House then voted 109-0 on a separate measure designating $105 million from a rainy-day fund. The biggest chunk of that goes to pay down debt in the state's unemployment insurance trust fund.
Most of the rest pays for deferred maintenance at public colleges, including $10 million for the University of South Carolina's law school.
