North Carolina men charged with several Horry County burglaries

Horry County police charged a North Carolina man with 12 charges related to six burglaries over the past year, according to the arrest warrants.

Shannon Tyrone Parker, 25, of Whiteville, NC, was booked at J. Reuben Long Detention Center Friday. According to online records, he faces three 1st Degree Burglary charges, three 2nd Degree Burglary charges, one Petit Larceny charge and five Grand Larceny charges.

A second man, Darius Jamal Gore, 19, of Tabor City is being held in a North Carolina jail awaiting extradition to J. Reuben Long, according to Horry County Police Sgt. Robert Kegler.

The men are accused of taking more than $17,000 in goods from homes in Loris, Galivants Ferry and Conway, according to the Horry County arrest warrants. Documents showed items taken included a Honda ATV, rifles and shotguns.
