Horry County police charged Thurston Jay Hardiman, 17, of Longs with Accessory After the Fact of Murder.
Police say Jamar Hashawn Wilson shot Gemell Ford to death about 3:50 p.m. February 9 on J.C. Lane in Longs.
Police were able to track Wilson through a GPS bracelet he was required to wear from a previous charge. They say the bracelet showed he was at the scene at the time of the shooting and was at home when they went to arrest him.
Police say Hardiman was in jail on charges unrelated to the shooting when they questioned him and he provided false information to mislead the shooting investigation.
The investigation continues and more arrests are possible.
