Update: We were notified by Habitat for Humanity at 6:25pm Friday that this event has been canceled.

Saturday March 3rd, the Horry County Habitat for Humanity will hold a no-limit Texas hold'em charity tournament benefiting the organization.

The event includes a $10 buy-in per person per game. All donations and proceeds stay within the county, said event organizer Ken Gorski.

"These funds will assist in the efforts to build affordable homes for people in need right here in Horry County," said Gorski.

The event will be held from noon until 10 p.m. at Papa Joe's Café and Bar on the 7th floor of the Ocean Forest Plaza in Myrtle Beach.

"Each table will have nine players, and each game will last between one to two hours," said Gorski.

Ten percent of the food and beverage sales go to benefit Habitat during the event.

Players score points based on where they place at each table. Whoever has the most points at the end of the event is the winner.

"We will have prize packages for first, second, and third place and a few door prizes throughout the event," said Gorski.
