Weekend Forecast
Posted: 03.02.2012 at 8:15 AM
A warm front will push through early today to bring in the chance for a few showers and even a storm or two possible. Otherwise look for mostly cloudy with a few peaks of sunshine and plenty of warmth. Highs will reach the mid 70s. A cold front will move through the Carolinas tomorrow increasing the chance for rain and storms. There is a slight risk of severe storms with the primary threat being damaging wind gusts over 60 mph. While the tornado threat is low, it is not zero. Ahead of the front it will be quite warm and a bit humid with highs back in the mid70s, but once the front moves through temps will drop as cold air surges in. The front will move away through the first half of Sunday taking the rain and clouds along with it and bringing colder, drier air to move in as we head into next week. Temps will struggle to reach the upper 50s and low 60s into next week.

Today: Mostly cloudy, warm, with the slight chance for showers/storm. Highs- Mid/Upper 70s.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, mild. Lows: Low 60s.

Saturday:  Cloudy with rain and even a few strong storms. Slight risk of severe storms. Highs-Mid 70s.

Sunday: Morning clouds and even a few coastal showers/storm will give way to more sunshine. Colder and windy conditions expected. Lows: Low 50s. Highs: Around 60°.
