Coastal Carolina University graduate and Horry County resident, Thomas Muse announced his candidacy to run for the Republican nomination of District 68's seat in the South Carolina House of Representatives.

Muse will be holding a "Meet and Greet" at Rotelli's on Hwy 501 across from Coastal Carolina University, lasting from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, February 12th. This event is open to the public and free pizza and soda will be provided.

Thomas Muse has resided in Conway for the past eight years. Thomas graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a BSBA in Business Management; he went on further to receive his MBA with a focus in Organizational Management and Leadership from Methodist University.

"I have been and continue to be active in local Republican organizations in the area, I have always been pulled to the life of public service. After much prayer, thought and discussion with my family I have decided to run for the South Carolina House Seat from District 68. I feel that South Carolina, and specifically Horry County have yet to reach their full level of effulgence; I think we can be better then we ever have been before and I look forward to bringing us to the level that we belong at…I am a fresh face and I bring fresh ideas to the table. However, as any good public servant, I really want to hear from the people of District 68 and get their opinions on how to best meet their needs." said Muse.
