Horry County Violent Crimes Detectives are investigating a Tuesday morning home invasion off Hwy. 90 in Longs.

Police say three men, armed with a handgun, a shotgun and a sword entered the home on Hwy. 90 and demanded money, according to an Horry County police (police.horrycounty.org/) report.

One of the men hit a person in the home during a struggle.

A family member of the victim exchanged gunshots with the men as they were leaving, in a possible blue Toyota pickup truck, police said.

The victims weren't hit by a bullet in the gunfire. It's unknown if the men were.
