Surfside Beach Police charged William David Jones, 31, with two counts of Burglary in the 1st Degree, two counts of Damage to Real property, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Receiving Stolen Goods and Larceny.

Police say they caught him leaving a burglary at a home in the 300 block of North Ocean Boulevard.

Police recovered two flat-screen televisions during the arrest.

Police say they were able to catch Jones because they were conducting a special operation to address a number of break-ins over the past two weeks. They say there have been a series of similar break-ins in southern Horry County and northern Georgetown County.

More charges against Jones are likely in those incidents as well as in Surfside Beach. More arrests are also possible.

The Surfside Beach Police Department is offering a cash reward to any person who provides information leading to the arrest of the additional suspects. Call Detective Sergeant Matt Prock at (843) 913-6349.
