Presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich made appearances at Carolinas Hospital System and the Art Trail Gallery in Florence Tuesday, one day after he appeared in the FoxNews/SCGOP debate in Myrtle Beach.

We caught up with him at the art gallery, where a crowd of about 150 people gathered.

The former Speaker of the House broke down his plans for the United States if he wins the Republican nomination and is elected president.

Gingrich said he'd repeal Obamacare by the time he's sworn in. He also focused on jobs. Gingrich said he'd make the I-73 corridor, which is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the Pee Dee, a priority in his administration.

When Gingrich was Speaker of the House, he told the crowd, 11 million people went to work and the budget was balanced unlike President Obama who, he said, has no idea how to create jobs. He referred to Obama as the 'Food Stamp President', whereas Gingrich says he wants to run as the 'Paycheck President'.

If he wins the Republican nomination, Gingrich said he would challenge President Obama to seven, three-hour debates.

He went on to take questions from people in the audience.

Gingrich has a full schedule Tuesday, heading to Columbia for additional appearances.
