CONWAY -- Seven state employees in Conway won $200,000 playing Powerball® on Christmas Eve.
On Christmas morning, a 26-year-old member of the group called her coworkers with the news.
"None of them believed me," she said in a press release. "I was shocked myself." She emailed everyone a picture of the winning ticket that was bought at a Kangaroo Express in Camden.
The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 5,138,133.
The coworkers, who started chipping in $1 each for Powerball® tickets in May, each pocketed a little more than $19,000 in the split.
"I'm saving my share. It was the best Christmas ever," she added.
Kangaroo Express in Camden received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
