GRAPEVINE, Texas (AP) - Police say the seven people who were found shot to death in a Dallas-area apartment today had apparently opened their Christmas gifts and had started cleaning up the wrapping paper when they were shot.
Authorities say the seven people are believed to have been related. They think the shooter was among them.
Police in Grapevine say the four women and three men, ages 18 to 60, were found in an adjoining kitchen and living room. Police went to the apartment after receiving a 911 call and hearing nothing.
Two handguns were found near the bodies.
The apartment had been decorated for Christmas, with a tree.
