Friday, patients at McLeod Children's Hospital got some specials gifts, compliments of Barnes & Noble.
The company donated 200 books to the hospital.
Employees with the book store went to a few rooms to visit the sick children and hand deliver the books.
They say it was moving to see the faces of the children light up when they saw the books.
"It was such an experience to be able to take something to a child who is ill and unable to even get out of their bed, and to see a child who is in such a state currently at such a special time of the year. Having three children of my own, it was quite touching," said Dawn Cleary, Barnes & Noble.
The company picks a charity every year to receive the books.
Hospital officials say they will make sure each child gets a book for Christmas.
