If you have any gifts still to mail out, it may be too late.

The last official day to send presents in order for them to arrive by Christmas is Thursday.

The Carolina Forest post office had a steady flow of people today trying to mail some last minute items.

Manager Gerry Mulligan says they have been just as busy this year as last year. "We've got a lot of packages because everybody mailed out over the weekend and Monday. So now it comes back to us and we've go to deliver it," says Mulligan.

He also mentioned that they received quite a bit more on Thursday.

If you missed the Thursday deadline, don't worry. Any in-state mail or those going to neighboring states have an opportunity to make it by Christmas Eve if mailed Friday.

Some post offices also offer Christmas Day arrivals for an increased cost. This is limited, so you may want to check with your local post office first.
