The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident involving a motorcycle near Scranton in Florence County around 7:15 Wednesday night.

Highway Patrol says Joseph Gaskins, 36, was on a motorcycle when he hit the back of a parked tractor trailer on the side of West Lee Flowers Road.

The crash remains under investigation.
