A "consistent and core conservative" is how Michele Bachmann described herself to an audience Sunday afternoon at Books-A-Million at Myrtle Beach Mall.
The presidential hopeful stopped at the Grand Strand bookstore to sign copies of her book "Core of Conviction." She said her book demonstrates the conservative vaules she's held her entire life.
A couple hundred people came out to meet Bachmann in person.
She told the crowd now that Herman Cain suspended his campaign many of his supporters are behind her bid for the Republican presidential nomination.
Bachmann is confident she's going to win, "In the only statewide race we've had so far in this presidential race I won. That was the Iowa caucuses and so we look forward to victory in Iowa and I think that will the cannon shot to propel us onto New Hampshire and here in South Carolina."
Bachman went on to say she plans to win twice in the Palmetto state, during the primary and general election so that Barack Obama becomes a one term President. That comment was met with cheers from the audience.
Saturday evening Bachmann traveled to Florence for a book signing there.
