Federal government announces illegal reentry guilty pleas

Assistant US Attorney William Day and US Attorney Bill Nettles announced guilty pleas from four people on charges of illegal reentry to the United States.
On November 20th, in federal court in Florence, Julia Cano-Angeles, 27, pleaded guilty to Illegal Reentry. Cano-Angeles is a citizen of Mexico and was deported in March 2008. She was arrested in Horry County on August 3rd. The maximum penalty Cano-Angeles can receive is a fine of $250,000 and/or imprisonment for two years, plus a special assessment of $100. United States District Judge Terry L. Wooten will sentence Cano-Angeles after reviewing a presentence report from the U.S. Probation Office.
On November 20th, Israel Sanchez-Pineda, 34, of Myrtle Beach, pleaded guilty to Illegal Reentry after being convicted of an aggravated felony. Sanchez-Pineda is a citizen of Honduras and was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana and was sentenced on June 30, 2000, to 33 months imprisonment in San Antonio, Texas. After serving his sentence he was deported to Honduras. On September 14th of this year, Sanchez-Pineda was located by ICE agents at J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County. A check of ICE records determined that Sanchez-Pineda did not have permission to reenter the United States. United States District Judge Terry L. Wooten will sentence Sanchez-Pineda after reviewing a presentence report from the U.S. Probation Office. The maximum penalty Sanchez-Pineda can receive is a fine of $250,000 and/or imprisonment for 20 years, plus a special assessment of $100.
On November 20th, Alonso Perez-Trujillo, 23, of Myrtle Beach, pleaded guilty to Illegal Reentry. Perez-Trujillo was a citizen of Mexico and was removed from the United States on July 6, 2010, as an illegal alien. On August 21, 2011, Perez-Trujillo was arrested by ICE agents who were investigating drug activity in the Myrtle Beach area. ICE records revealed That Perez-Trujillo did not have permission to reenter the United States. United States District Judge Terry L. Wooten will sentence Perez-Trujillo after reviewing a presentence report from the U.S. Probation Office. The maximum penalty Perez-Trujillo can receive is a fine of $250,000 and/or imprisonment for two years, plus a special assessment of $100.
On November 30th, Demis Osmari Ulloa-Funez , 28, pleaded guilty to Illegal Reentry. Ulloa-Funez is a citizen of Honduras and has been deported four times. On September 24th, Ulloa-Funez was discovered by ICE agents at J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County. A check of ICE records determined that Ulloa-funez did not have permission to reenter the United States. The maximum penalty Ulloa-Funez can receive is a fine of $250,000 and/or imprisonment for two years, plus a special assessment of $100. United States District Judge Terry L. Wooten will impose sentence Ulloa-Funez after reviewing a presentence report from the U.S. Probation Office.
