Horry County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire in the Nichols area of Horry County at 6:25 Monday evening.

According to Fire Rescue spokesperson Leslie Yancey, no one was home at the time of the fire in the Floyds community. Flames were visible when firefighters arrived, by 8:00 p.m. the fire was contained.

Yancey says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
