Florence police have taken a man suspected of trying to rob a bank into custody.

Update: Several hours after the man was taken into custody, police discovered the incident was a misunderstanding and the man was released without being charged.

Police surrounded the bank and closed off a portion of the road. They ordered the suspect to come out and within a few minutes, he came crawling out of the bank. He was then taken into custody.
