Nascar Park in Myrtle Beach held a fundraiser to benefit veterans Saturday. The park partnered with Coca-Cola to raise money for the Wounded Warrior project .
Visitors could see special Coke Nascar vehicles and write Christmas cards for troops overseas.
"Its important to us because of our support for the local community," said Krishelle Hancock, VP of Marketing for Park Management. "That's our mission is to support children and families in the community that we serve so for us. It's just about tying that in, we know how many people in the Myrtle Beach market are either veterans, active military, or have somebody that they love that is a veteran or an active military person."
Since 2003, the Wounded Warrior project has raised money to help injured service members. All together, the park raised more than $1,000 Saturday.
