The Timmonsville Clerk of Court has been placed on administrative leave following her arrest for forgery.

State police arrested Wilhelmina Washington last week for signing a judge's name to a document on a person who was arrested for outstanding bench warrants.

The signature could have allowed the person to be released from the Florence County Detention Center.

A warrant says Washington did not have permission from the judge to sign his name.
