About 100 golfers teed off for the 10th Annual Waccamaw Community Hospital Golf Tournament at The Reserve Golf Club in Pawleys Island Monday.
"Proceeds today go to the Garden of Peace at Waccamaw Community Hospital and that is going to be an area where people who would like to celebrate life, whether it's the birth of a child or the death of a loved one, they can just go and be in peace and be with family," Georgetown Hospital System Foundation's Executive Director, Lynn McClain, said.
WCH is a nonprofit hospital and caters to the community through the Georgetown Hospital System Foundation. "We want to make sure that people have access to healthcare and that's the one thing the foundation focuses on very strongly," McClain added.
Monday's golf tournament started at 10 a.m. It was captain's choice with three divisions: men's, women's and mixed.
