The United States Justice Department approved a new voting district map for the South Carolina House of Representatives.

Many districts have been altered to reflect changes in population over the past 10 years. Carolina Forest will now be considered as one district.

According to the 2010 Census, Carolina Forest grew by more than 500 percent in 10 years.
